Client Overview:
What a great solution...promote businesses that are smoke-free to better position them toward their client base, and develop an advantage in the market. There's an interesting debate in many cities whether to regulate smoking areas, or leave decisions up to each individual business. In Iowa, at least for now, this decision is left up to the businesses themselves, and the ones that are opting for a smoke-free environment are winning big.
Market Situation:
The American Lung Association has developed a program called the Tobacco-Free Partnership, which promotes businesses and organizations that adopt the program.
Dynamic Solutions:
Adaptive Easel partnered with the American Lung Assocation of Iowa-Illinois to develop and market a local web-based program for the Central Iowa Tobacco-Free Partnership, to offer added value to its members and affiliates. We published an online dining guide, and created a vast library of resources for consumers and businesses to become involved. In addition, we strengthened relationships with other related organizations including JEL, The Truth, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and Local Hospitals and Health Organizations. We also worked with many other leading local businesses to create a consistent message and image for the Partnership. Burd & Patterson created a strong identity to work with, and designed a high-impact Dining Guide, organizational brochures and collateral, and print marketing. Pointblank, Fleur Cinema, Temple for the Performing Arts, Java Joes, and other leading local businesses also helped sponsor the program, and with hundreds of members and sponsors involved with the program, it has quickly become a huge success for Iowa businesses, and the well being of our neighbors and their families.
